Individuals prepare to be Nurse Assistants in Faulkner and Monroe County

In early August 2018, Medlinc launched its Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program in partnership with the Central Arkansas Workforce Development Area.

Conducted at Laquinta Inn in Conway and the Arkansas Workforce Center at Brinkley, the 2.5 week course included classroom instruction and an additional 1-week Phlebotomy course which added an extra benefit to help participants to obtain and retain employment.

The program prepared 30 students to provide patient care to the healthcare industry. Upon successful completion of the program, students were eligible to participate in the Employer Connect Day, which allowed local employers such as Visiting Angels, Conway Human Development Center, Saint Andrews Place, Cla-Cliff Nursing and Rehab Center, Elite Home Care, Crest Park, and etc. to connect with qualified job seekers.

Overall, the training program had a 100% completion rate and these individuals can work in a variety of medical settings in entry-level positions.
