About Training Programs
These training programs are designed to help TANF recipients who are 18 years of age or older who are qualified get a commercial driver's license (CDL), a nursing assistant certification, or a nursing assistant certificate. In order to prepare learners for state licensing, the curriculum will be offered by a variety of local partners with accredited programs. The goal of this initiative is to improve services for those who might benefit from both the TANF and WIOA Services programs. It builds on previous joint efforts in program services. In the current local and national labor market, there is a demand for both health care providers and commercial drivers with CDL licenses.
