In July of 2019, Burlington contacted the Business Service Team with the Central Arkansas Workforce Development Area to inquire about assistance with recruiting for 65-70 opened positions at their new store in Benton, Arkansas.
Shortly after, the Arkansas Workforce Center in Benton scheduled a 2-Day Hiring Event for August 27-28, 2019. On August 6, 2019, outreach began to inform the public about the event and the top positions available such as Sales Associates, Receiving Associates, Cashiers, and Loss Prevention Specialists.
As a result of successful teamwork and outreach, Burlington associates and the Business Service Team assisted 51 applicants in the Arkansas Mobile Workforce Unit, conducted 269 interviews, and made 65 job offers. Then, the Workforce Center accommodated Burlington by providing a location for orientation/onboarding sessions for recently hired employees.
The Business Service Team attended Burlington’s ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the new store on October 4, 2019. Expressing satisfaction with the services provided by the Arkansas Workforce Center in Benton, Burlington looks forward to future projects.
