Sunshine Provision
The Workforce Development Board is mandated by federal legislation to oversee public investments in employment and training programs. This responsibility is accomplished through the activities of the Central Arkansas Workforce Development Area.
For the period of July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2021, the One-Stop Operator's, Central Arkansas Planning and Development District, budget shall not exceed $108,518.95 annually.
Local Plan
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires each local workforce area to develop a local workforce development plan, which must be submitted as part of its regional plan. The local plan contains more detailed, actionable plans and objectives that are consistent with the regional plan's respective strategic visions and goals.
Leverage
The purpose of this report is to provide a baseline of information that the Central Arkansas Workforce Development Board can use to make policy decisions. The Board uses the data analysis and conclusions drawn from LEVERAGE as a catalytic first step in meeting the labor force needs of business and industry, as well as providing every advantage for participants to achieve a higher standard of living across the six county service area.
