In August of 2020, Kimberly-Clark contacted the Business Service Team with the Central Arkansas Workforce Development Area about hosting a virtual hiring event to help their employees find new employment due to the plant’s closure in Conway, Arkansas.
In partnership with the City of Maumelle and the Dislocated Workers Task Force, the virtual hiring event offered multiple job opportunities from employers including Manpower, Tru-Fab, Lamb & Associates, Cypress Cold Storage, SCA Pharma, Wrights Cabinets, HMS Manufacturing, Lomanco, SFI, Virco, Dillards, and Washington Inventory Services (WIS).
As a result, 47 Kimberly-Clark associates were able to speak with employers, ask questions, and take the next step toward a new promising career upon their departure from Kimberly-Clark.
