HOW PROJECT HOMELESS CONNECT IS HELPING INDIVIDUALS IN FAULKNER COUNTY

On January 23, 2018, partners, including nonprofit organizations, faith based groups, and social organizations, joined and contributed at the Project Homeless Connect event, hosted by the Community Action for Central Arkansas (CAPCA), in Conway, AR.

Homeless individuals in Faulkner County and the surrounding area received information and free services.

Services included health screenings, counseling referrals, application assistance for public assistance programs such as SNAP, educational training program referrals, and assistance with employment and veteran services.

In addition, all attendees received free haircuts, free dinner, care kits, shoes, and a resource directory.

Overall, the event was a roaring success with immense thanks to the host, CAPCA, and all the individuals and organizations that participated. Over 120 attendees received vital services and care that they needed to overcome barriers and move forward in life.
