The Arkansas Workforce Center in Conway is excited to welcome their new Veteran Employment Representative.
Bruce Davis served in the Army and the Arkansas National Guard for ten years before retiring from active duty. He is the father of two children and the grandfather of one and he worked as a surgical technologist for 25 years before graduating from UCA with a sociology degree. He enjoys a variety of hobbies, including shooting at the range and flying commercial helicopters.
As a Veteran Employment Representative, Bruce conducts outreach to employers and engages in advocacy efforts with hiring executives to increase employment opportunities for veterans, encourage the hiring of disabled veterans, and assist veterans in general in obtaining and retaining employment.
The Central Arkansas Workforce Development Area is dedicated to providing high-quality services and support programs to veterans and their spouses. Our local Veterans Employment Representatives are able to assist veterans, reservists, and National Guard members in securing employment thanks to our partnership with the Arkansas Division of Workforce Services, and we are excited to have Bruce on board.
