Celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month, the Central Arkansas Workforce Development Area (CAWDA) participated in this year’s theme, “the Right Talent, Right Now” emphasizing the important role people with disabilities play in economic success, focusing on a time when low employment and competition are producing a high demand for skilled talent.
On October 1, 2019, WIOA partners and Arkansas employers participated in a statewide kick off celebration honoring the contributions of Arkansas workers with disabilities. Moreover, on October 9, 2019, the Arkansas Workforce Center in North Little Rock partnered with Arkansas Rehabilitation Services to host a Resource & Information Fair to assist with providing information about job training and employment services to individuals with disabilities.
The CAWDA is thankful for the partnership with Arkansas Rehabilitation Services and, above all, will continue to actively support job seekers with disabilities and employers looking to hire individuals with disabilities.
