On January 23, 2020, the Central Arkansas Workforce Development Area along with other nonprofit organizations, faith based groups, and social organizations joined and contributed at the Project Homeless Connect 2020 event, hosted by the Community Action for Central Arkansas (CAPCA), in Conway, AR. Over 200 homeless individuals in Faulkner County received dental screenings, health exams, bicycle repair, clothing and veterinarian care for their pets, first-aid kits, personal hygiene items, utensils and other items. Additionally, organizations accommodated individuals seeking employment opportunities and other services. Overall, the event was a roaring success with immense thanks to the host, CAPCA, and all the individuals and organizations that participated. Attendees received vital services and care that they needed to overcome barriers and move forward in life.
