Job Seekers Connect to their Future Career at the 2022 Conway Career Expo

The 2022 Conway Career Expo was held on May 11, 2022 in Faulkner County by the Central Arkansas Workforce Development Area as part of ongoing efforts to assist companies throughout the serving area in overcoming recruiting challenges.


The job theme this year was "Lets Taco Bout Jobs," and it was held in person, with 118 employers and community resource organizations providing job applications, on-the-spot interviews, and connections to community resources.


911 Restoration Central Arkansas, Arkansas Federal Credit Union, Baptist Health Arkansas, Centennial Bank, CHI Health at Home, Cintas, City of Conway, Conway Behavioral Health Conway Human Development Center, Conway Regional Health System, Crain Media Y107, David's Burgers, Diesel Driving Academy, Dillard's Fulfillment Center, RedStone Construction Group, Remington Ammunition, Ridout Lumber, SFI of Arkansas, LLC, Smartstyle by SiripiLLC, Snap-on Equipment, Stoby's, Structurlam, Tacos 4 Life, Tokusen, Union Pacific Railroad, United States Air Force, VIRCO MFG CORPORATION, Weaver-Bailey Contractors, Winthrop Rockefeller Institute, WIS International, and Worldwide Flight Services were among the some of the employers in attendance.


Approximately 240 job seekers met with businesses and learned about each organization, and 100 job seekers were either hired on the spot or scheduled for interviews.


The Conway Career Expo has been one of the most successful events since COVID. The Arkansas Division of Workforce Services, Centennial Bank, Faulkner County Judge Baker, and Sunbelt Convention Services all worked together to make this job fair a huge success.
