In February 2020, Road Ranger Truck Stop contacted the Central Arkansas Workforce Development Area to inquire about assistance with recruiting for 50 opened positions at their new store in Brinkley, AR.
Shortly after, the Arkansas Workforce Center in Brinkley scheduled a 2-Day Hiring Event for May 11-12, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, job seekers were encouraged to practice social distancing and to wear face mask upon arrival to the event.
As a result of successful teamwork and outreach, the Road Ranger Truck Stop Hiring Event conducted 22 interviews and 13 individuals have started work as of May 26, 2020. Then, the Workforce Center accommodated Road Ranger by providing a location for orientation/on-boarding sessions for recently hired employees.
Finally, the Road Ranger Truck Stop celebrated its grand opening on June 15, 2020 and expressed satisfaction with the services provided by the Arkansas Workforce Center in Brinkley.
