From Classroom to Career: Jason’s Success Story

When Jason Lacis first came to the Workforce Center, he brought with him a high school diploma and a determination to build a meaningful career. With clear goals and strong motivation, Jason began his journey toward success through the support of workforce development programs.

After completing his initial assessment, Jason enrolled in Lonoke County Adult Education, where he strengthened the foundational skills needed to pursue his chosen career path. His commitment quickly paid off. Through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program, Jason earned a scholarship and was accepted into the Arkansas College of Health Careers. There, he trained to become a Clinical Medical Assistant.

Jason’s hard work and dedication led him to excel in the program—graduating at the top of his class and earning his National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA). His leadership and academic excellence earned him the distinction of serving as the keynote speaker at his graduation ceremony, held at the Lonoke Business Academy.

Today, Jason is putting his skills to work at Sherwood Medical Plaza Vein Care Clinic. He divides his time between the Sherwood location and the Russellville vein clinic, traveling twice a week to provide vital care to patients.

Jason’s story is one of determination, perseverance, and the life-changing impact of workforce development. His achievements serve as an inspiring reminder that with the right support and commitment, success is within reach.
