The University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College (UA-PTC) Adult Education Program is offering two free classes designed to prepare individuals for rewarding careers and enhance essential workplace skills — Pharmacy Technician and Microsoft Office 365.
Pharmacy Technician Class
Pharmacy Technicians play a vital role in healthcare by assisting pharmacists with dispensing medications in retail and hospital settings. Working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, technicians handle prescription preparation, communicate with healthcare providers, and manage medication inventory.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Gathering prescription information from customers or healthcare professionals
Measuring, packaging, and labeling medications accurately
Managing inventory and reporting shortages to the pharmacist
Assisting with refill authorizations and operating dispensing equipment
