Partner’s Meeting Shares Vision for Workforce Development in Lonoke County

On September 16, 2019, the Arkansas Workforce Center in Lonoke held a meeting to bring partners together to address workforce needs in Lonoke County and to make sure all Lonoke County citizens are aware of the resources in the area.


After discussion, an event is scheduled and will be hosted at the beginning of 2020. The purpose of the event is to help improve economic and career success for economically disadvantaged youth and adults.


Partners in attendance included the Arkansas Division of Workforce Services, Arkansas Community Corrections, Central Arkansas Development Council, Department of Human Services, Diamond State Roofing, EOC TRIO Program, Family and Resource Services, Family Service Agency, Lonoke Community Center, Lonoke County Adult Education, and the National Caucus & Center on Black Aging, Inc.


Overall, the partners look forward to planning an informational and successful event in Lonoke County and because of their partnership, attendees of the event will be able to receive information and robust services.
