At just 22 years old, Janiya Ashford is already making remarkable strides in her career and education.
A high school graduate with a strong interest in health science, Janiya knew early on that she wanted a career centered around helping others.
Through the Adult Program, Janiya found the support and resources she needed to transform her passion into a profession.
She completed her training and proudly earned her Patient Care Technician (PCT) Certification, a milestone that opened the door to exciting new opportunities in the healthcare field.
Today, Janiya is putting her skills to work at UAMS, where she’s gaining valuable hands-on experience in the very field she trained for.
Her dedication and commitment to learning continue to drive her forward as she now plans to pursue a degree in Health Science, further advancing her career in patient care.
