In January 2019, Bobby Barron, a former Aerospace Engineer, struggled to find employment after being laid off from his job. As a result, he decided to attend the Re-Employment Service Job Search Workshop at the Arkansas Workforce Center in Conway; where he learned of the available opportunities through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity (WIOA) Grant.
Beginning a new adventure to find a new career, he visited with Career Consultant, Ashlee Ennis, and enrolled in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Dislocated Worker Program. On April 8, 2019, he began his Occupational Skills Training at the Arkansas Coding Academy and worked diligently to receive his certification on August 9, 2019.
In the end, Bobby was able to take advantage of the amazing opportunities through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and later obtained full time employment at the DXC as a Programmer.
