At just 21 years old, Terrius Williams is already demonstrating what dedication, training, and hands-on experience can accomplish. As an Out-of-School Youth (OSY) participant, Terrius was placed at the Jacksonville Career Center, where he began building a solid foundation for his future career.
Terrius enrolled in both the Workforce Alliance for Growth in the Economy (WAGE) program and the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program. Through his commitment and hard work, he completed both programs and earned his CNA license, opening the door to immediate employment in the healthcare field.
Following his training, Terrius completed Work Experience (WEX) at the Beebe Retirement Center, where he worked as a Nursing Assistant. During this time, he gained valuable real-world experience, working 70–80 hours per week and earning $16.00 per hour. His dedication and strong work ethic made a meaningful impact on both residents and staff while strengthening his professional skills.
Looking ahead, Terrius is continuing his journey of service and growth. In April 2026, he will take the next step toward his future by heading to San Antonio, Texas, for Basic Training with the United States Air Force.
Terrius’s success story highlights how workforce programs, education, and determination can create powerful opportunities for young adults. His accomplishments reflect the impact of investing in skills, experience, and service—and his future is just getting started.
