The City of Keo is preparing for a major community transformation thanks to a new partnership with Invenergy, the renewable energy company behind a $600 million solar project in Lonoke and Pulaski counties.
At a community meeting on Thursday (Sept. 4), Keo Mayor Stephanie White announced that Invenergy will invest $400,000 to retrofit a city-owned building into “Keo Commons – Powered by Invenergy.”
The new development will serve as a multi-use community hub, featuring:
A public library,
A tech hub for learning and connectivity,
Secure restrooms for park visitors, cyclists, and travelers, and
A welcome center at the entrance to town.
