The Central Arkansas Workforce Center in Brinkley hosted the AMERICORPS event “Maintaining a Healthy Budget for the Holidays” on December 7, 2017. Excitingly, participants learned useful information about financial literacy including making a budget, managing finances, establishing savings and checking account, and building credit.
In addition, Dorine Smith, Youth One-Stop Manager, provided pamphlets that discussed Job Readiness, how to apply for scholarships and college, and additional services available through the Central Arkansas Workforce Center in Brinkley.
Finally, this event provided participants with the tools to be financially literate and successful, and overall, revealed multiple opportunities in Monroe and Prairie counties.
