The Delta Regional Authority (DRA) has announced the availability of approximately $9.7 million in federal funding to support disaster recovery and infrastructure resilience across the Delta region. This investment comes through the newly launched Supplemental Disaster Recovery Funding (SDRF) program—an extension of the 2025 Community Infrastructure Fund—designed to help communities impacted by federally declared disasters.
Funded through the American Relief Act of 2025, the SDRF will provide grants ranging from $500,000 to $2 million for eligible projects aimed at rebuilding and strengthening community infrastructure. Focus areas for funding include basic public infrastructure, transportation systems, and flood control initiatives.
“The Supplemental Disaster Recovery Fund creates an opportunity for DRA to provide strategic investments in communities that are still feeling impacts brought upon by national disasters,” said Dr. Corey Wiggins, Federal Co-Chairman of the DRA. “With these investments, grantees can leverage funds to accelerate progress being made within their affected communities.”
To qualify, applicants must meet the standard eligibility criteria of the Community Infrastructure Fund. They must either be located in or serve a community that received a federal disaster declaration between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024.
Applications will be accepted through August 2, 2025, via the DRA’s online application portal. Interested parties can learn more and access the application by visiting www.dra.gov. Questions can be directed to sedap.cif@dra.gov.
