This summer, the Arkansas Department of Health is partnering with Be Mighty and the Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) to offer free dental screenings for children at local library branches and meal sites across Little Rock.
These screenings offer a valuable opportunity for families to prioritize their children’s oral health at no cost. Licensed dental professionals will be available on-site to conduct the screenings and provide guidance on preventive dental care.
No Insurance Needed – Just Consent
A parent or legal guardian must provide consent for a child to participate. Consent forms can be signed in advance by emailing bemighty@cals.org or completed in person on the day of the screening.
Dental Screening Schedule:
July 3 – Children’s Library @ noon
July 11 – Dee Brown Library @ noon
July 17 – Fletcher Library @ noon
July 24 – Nixon Library @ 10:30 a.m.
These events are part of a broader community effort to promote healthy habits during the summer months. By combining access to nutritious meals and preventive health services, CALS and Be Mighty aim to create a healthier future for Arkansas’s youth.
